When you can buy 4 KLR’s for the price of one GS Adventure. Your going to have to realize the KLR wins everytime.

I really like your Loadout is there an instruction to make it?
Are you serious? 450lbs, it can’t be for enduro.
It can be a very good bike for dualsport and long journeys, but not for enduro use.
Beautiful places.
Enjoy your machine.
I just got a new 2009 KLR and was wondering if you could tell me where I could find the mounts for the military cans I love your set up on the KLR…super…
@halfthrottle please do make the how to luggage vid!!
looks discustingly heavy!
what brand is this so called less than 300$ luggage system callled and where can i find it?
Nice video! I have an 08 KLR
Kinda makes me wanna try a little offroading with it!
Unlike the Long Way series no frames or shocks were harmed in the making of this video.
KLR 650 the world most powerful dual sport, yeah right never heard such trash.
KTM 640 adventure would own that, let alone the 660 rallye.
Love that pannier package, espcially the 2 up front, so where can i buy those? I’m in New Zealand

@airheadwrangler “Many people fall into the trap of thinking that a KLR is ready to go out of the box “…. I fell into that trap, and rode a completely stock KLR with ammo cases for panniers from Canada to and through most of South America…. long before Ewan and Charlie began their odyssey. Oh, and the bike was flawless! Even sold the bike for the same price I paid. I met a # of BMW riders who were stuck in different places for WEEKS on end waiting for parts to be sent to them.
BTW, my little Ninja has over 48,000 miles on it (I’m the original owner) and it’s still going strong. The 2004 EX250, like the KLR650, is based on old Kawasaki technology. It works. Solid. Bombproof.
Can one “wrench” a BMW without a computer? And electricity?
Why I’m buying a KLR650: own a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja EX250 & HD Sportster. When the “Big One” hits SoCal & Zombie Apocalypse begins neither will get me the hell out of Dodge nor onto the network of fire roads that crisscross the west before The End Of Western Civilization actually begins. It is truly The Motorcycle of The Apocalypse. I’ve researched & keep coming back to the KLR: water cooled is tougher in desert, no complicated EFI. Its Luddite design has stood the test of 20 years.
how about honda transalp…?….i think is a litle bit better then klr….try diferent bikes and after that you’ll understeand which is better…
@nswsparky Just outside St. George.
Moab?
ah but the KLR has a carburetor. No thanks. The KLR looked better to me in every way over the competition except for the lack of fuel injection. That was enough to swing my decision to a WR250R. Love it
Ammo boxes for side cases? Very cool. Where might I come across a set?
@T can do this much better ;-) and is cheaper … :D
Great, now I feel bad for being a jerk. Thank you very much.
@jojothedog1234 I was in the military too, and hated it. Mitch is a dumbass for staying in an organization that would send him to his death without batting an eye. My point is he isn’t out of shape.
reply to the previous comment first then we’ll get to the 8 year old one.
@jojothedog1234 An 8 year old who has bought 2 KLR’s in the past.
