Rincewind & Twoflower meet Cohen

I’m uploading some Colour of Magic clips for those who haven’t seen it yet. :-) I’ve been trying to keep these clips short as I’m still on dial-up *sigh*, but I just couldn’t decide which part of this sequence to post, so you’re getting the whole thing! The Luggage is leading Cohen the Barbarian to the aid of its master Twoflower who, with Rincewind, has stumbled upon some druids. Also the Octavo finally let’s Rincewind in on it’s plan.

@Mouseheart He should have been, but they opted for the ‘less racist’ stereotype of an American tourist to prevent any trouble.
lol cohan is just how i would picture him
when i read the books i imagine Rincewind younger than this one ,40-50 years not 80.
Anyway, looks a bad movie. Nothing can compare with the books
Cohen rules, along with his barbarian friends. But Hamish takes the price, too bad they ain’t in these movies!
@Mouseheart
Yeah it’s a gross inaccuracy of this movie. Along with the fact they cut out a lot of things from the book like Twoflower visiting the ruins of Belshamaroth (or how you spell it!). But then again that’s to be expected from any book made into a movie, they always cut stuff out.
@shanethepoet Maybe, but Terry Goodkind don’t take much ruining - all you have to do is read it and hey presto! It’s ruined.
@TheValiance he has been for many decades a student. Someone should expect him to be more than 50.
Rincewind should be a scrawny, nerdy ginger guy, not a semi-old man.
“You do it like this”. (Charges in and starts a fight).
I heart Cohen XD
“I mean, not losing your qualifications!”
Twoflower is so dense it’s charming.
‘Where am I?
‘You’re dreaming.’
‘Can I wake up please?’
‘…. No.’
Brilliant!
Actually found you from M13 ;) Good call.
I love this series. I borrowed the DVD off of a friend and it’s brilliant. Sort of how I imagined it to be. Good old David Jason. I like the shirt Twoflower wears. It’s such a shirt that screams ‘Tourist’.
Twoflower was supposed to be oriental ish… The Counterweight Continent was supposed to be orientally themed.
No, he’s Agaetian, there’s no Japan or America on Discworld. There are just suggestions that he’s Asian, if it’s more convenient for the movie, what’s the importance?
Ah no! Twoflower is a naive tourist twit but a JAPANESE naive tourist twit with spectacles, not American!
For some reason, I envisioned Rincewind as younger and with a somewhat nerdier voice. He still looks great though.
SRRY thought u were talking sbout Rincewind.
i never said anything that even remotely looks like i assume that the american style of writing is the “default for all english speaking countries” i think you misunderstood me. its just that an american character should speak the way americans do. is that really such a bad thing to say?
Terry Pratchett IS british so he wrote it like he did. H e didn’t do on perpose , that’s just how he writes. Don’t assume that the american style of writing is the default style for all english-speaking countries.
Is this Del Boy?
He doesn’t have to fake it. Sean Astin is American.
This is nothing like the book!!
